Waysted was a transitory and rather dark British sonorous metal rig from the mid-’80s. Led by erstwhile UFO bassist Pete Way (thence the spelling of the group’s number), the band’s original carte du jour consisted of another UFO alumni, guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond, in summation to guitar player Ronnie Kayfield, drummer Frank Noon, and a crack called Fin on vocals. The group’s members would come and go ofttimes during their brief calling (with Way being the only constant member), as Waysted issued a total of four albums — 1983’s Vices, 1984’s self-titled pass, 1985’s The Good, the Bad, the Waysted, and 1986’s Save Your Prayer — in plus to curtain nurture tours for such noteworthy ’80s metallic element stadium headliners as Dio and Iron Maiden. The mathematical group skint up briefly later their last album, as Way eventually resurfaced with a reunited UFO in the mid-’90s.
